Isokinetics describes computer-supported testing and training systems with the application focus on the knee joint. It enables a special form of dynamic strength training, the specification of which is a defined angular velocity. The patient trains computer-aided at a constant speed, with simultaneous feedback of measurement parameters such as range of motion, torque, power and acceleration. Isokinetic testing and training systems are versatile. Compared to conventional training systems, the great advantage lies in a significantly higher efficiency in every joint angle as well as the reduced risk of injury and the better dosability in early rehabilitation. Genu PLUS is an isokinetic system of the latest generation, which fits very efficiently into the orthopedic practice concept with compact dimensions and user-friendly software. Concentric, eccentric, isometric or combined forms of training are just as much part of the repertoire as hydrodynamic training, which is easy on the joints. Diagnostic force-time histories for the knee extensor and knee flexor groups are already available within a few minutes. Genu Plus also documents the status quo before and after therapy and provides information on the strength and neuromuscular coordination of the muscle groups stabilizing the knee joint.
Genu PLUS is also a computer-assisted training system with outstanding therapy options: From simple passive motion splinting, to joint-friendly hydrodynamic, to concentric-eccentric maximum strength training, the system has a very wide range of applications. Via biofeedback, your patients receive reliable feedback on the current performance parameters at any time and train exactly at their individual requirement level.
